When my bodice was DETERMINED to be a @#%$!, despite the mockup having gone together quite well, I'm at the point of whipping the piping down on the inside of the neckline. This morning I put on "Strange Empire" while I whipped down the inside of the skirt waistband and sewed up the facing with huge-o stitches. Once I'd finished that I couldn't really procrastinate on the bodice any further, and cut out another 'mockup' of the fabric I intend to use as lining, and it had more issues than before, somehow. Last night I finally finished all the bones and made little pieces of two layers of canvas to hold the horizontal bones and basted those inside the fronts. At one point I held the stays up to my dress form and noticed that the front shoulder strap bits miiiiiight be too far forward. Naturally I had to wait to try on the stays to know for sure.
